Werefox baby & Chimp

I am on leave and have been making Aoife's Werefox baby. I bought a cheap Baby Born of e-Bay because I was not sure how it would turn out, plus the Baby Born has a weird big head and an open mouth - perfect for fangs - though her head is so hard I have had to make the ginger mohair into a wig and stick it on as I couldn't get the rooting needles through. Good job it needs to be a hairy baby! [link]

I get some weird twisted pleasure from sneaking a peek in your gallery every now and again

I guess it's because they truly wig me out, and I don't get that reaction from much these days ...

Check out the chimpanzee I have just made for Aikdo Monkey - about to post a before and after shot now. I am really pleased witht he way he turned out. I took the toy chimp from London Zoo apart, just ended up with the face, hands, feet and ears and cut myself a new more realstic body pattern which I made up in longer fur (the original was short black plush like teddy bear fur). I painted the 'rubber bits' and reassembled with the new body - all weighted to feel heavy like a real chimp. The hardest bit was sewing the head and getting it the right shape then setting in the ears.
